Dear Fifth Grade Class,
I can hardly believe we are half way through the school year. This time of year is so special in our school and community. Catholic Schools Week is a time to celebrate every aspect of our faith. As a school we recognize and celebrate each other. As a community, we recognize and celebrate those who selflessly dedicate their time to make our lives better, whether it is first responders or our beloved veterans! Most importantly, it is yet another dedicated, purposeful opportunity to celebrate THE reason we have all these Blessings. Starting with our daily morning gathering, what better way to bring joy to our days than with Prayer and Scripture.
As always, we are continuing to grow as readers and writers, increasing our knowledge in grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure. Within our learning, whether it is Social Studies or Language Arts, we strive to find our daily connections to our Lord and Savior. We are truly Blessed that as we read novels like The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe we are able to discover the allegory representing Jesus, allowing us to deepen our faith while while exploring themes such as loyalty, forgiveness, faith, courage and self-sacrifice.
I look forward to seeing each bright smiling face every morning, and look forward to another half year filled with learning and love!
Be Blessed,
Ms. Bordfeld
